New Delhi, Dec. 2 -- Andhra Pradesh Ministers Nara Lokesh (Education, IT & Electronics) and Anita (Home) met Union Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan in New Delhi on Tuesday and briefed him on the extensive agricultural devastation caused by Cyclone Montha.

According to an official press release, the ministers said the cyclone, which struck on October 28 and 29, brought fierce winds, torrential rainfall and flooding that severely affected villages, farmlands and rural livelihoods across the state.
