Dhaka, May 11 -- Bangladesh Awami League, headed by ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, rejected the interim government's decision to ban the activities of the party. Awami League will conduct its activities, the party said in a statement late on Saturday.

"The people of Bangladesh are shocked and outraged by the illegal and unconstitutional occupying fascist Yunus government's announcement to ban the activities of the Awami League", the statement said.
