New Delhi, Dec. 2 -- Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi took on the Centre on Tuesday for "taking parliament for granted," claiming that the government is claiming important issues while the Opposition MPs repeatedly demand a discussion on the Special Intensive Revision (SIR).

"For the second day in a row, the ruling party, the BJP, refuses to list the most important issue for opposition political parties on the agenda for parliamentary business today. Why is the BJP taking the Parliament for granted?" the Congress MP posted on X.

He further claimed that the government only calls for "symbolic" meetings where they pretend to care about issues, but refuse to list the same issues on the Parliament's agenda.
