Chandigarh, May 23 -- The Association of Resident Doctors (ARD) on Friday expressed deep concern and anguish over an incident of alleged assault of a doctor, which occurred on May 22 (Thursday) at approximately 12.20 PM at the Neonatology Unit (NNN-ICU) of Chandigarh's PGIMER.
According to a statement from PGIMER, a Junior Resident Doctor from the Department of Paediatrics was physically assaulted by the attendants of the baby of Prabhleen Kaur, who is currently under treatment in the NNN-ICU.
President of ARD, Vishnu Jinja strongly condemned the incident and proposed multiple security enhancements across the institute.
