Chandigarh, Feb. 16 -- Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa has termed the stampede at New Delhi railway station on Saturday as an "utter failure" of the Central Government, Railway Ministry, and the Uttar Pradesh government. As many as 18 people were killed, and several others were injured in the fatal incident.
He stated that the government should be ready to hold such a mega event, referring to over six weeks of the Maha Kumbh festival, where a large number of devotees gather across the country to take a dip in the scared waters.
