New Delhi, April 22 -- On the occasion of World Earth Day, Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood on Tuesday urged the residents of the national capital to switch off all electrical appliances for five minutes from 8:00 pm to 8:05 pm, as a symbolic gesture to promote environmental awareness.

In a video message, the Delhi Education Minister said the initiative aimed to spread a powerful message in support of the environment and serve as a collective message of environmental consciousness.
