New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- Haryana Assembly Leader of Opposition, Bhupinder Singh Hooda, on Friday slammed the state government over the recent compensation announcement over crop losses and termed it a matter of "rubbing salt into the wounds of the farmers."

In an 'X' post, Hooda noted that compensation of just Rs 7,000 to Rs 15,000 is an injustice to the farmers if the cost is Rs 30,000 to Rs 35,000 per acre and the annual lease is Rs 70,000 per acre.

"The state government is rubbing salt into the wounds of the farmers. When the cost is Rs.30,000-35,000 per acre and the annual lease is Rs.70,000 per acre, then isn't compensation of just Rs.7,000-15,000 a clear injustice to the farmers and a conspiracy to ruin farming in Haryana?," Bhupind...
