Srinagar, July 26 -- Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Saturday praised the launch of the NALSA Veer Parivar Sahayata Yojana 2025, a new legal aid initiative for defence personnel.
On the 26th anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas, Abdullah honoured the sacrifices of soldiers and said the scheme will help serving and retired soldiers deal with legal issues, especially since they often face challenges due to tough postings and distance from home.
Omar Abdullah said, "On the occasion of Vijay Diwas today, I would like to begin by remembering the services and sacrifices of our defence personnel... Our soldiers serve with dedication in challenging terrains."
