Chandigarh, May 3 -- Amid the ongoing water-sharing dispute between Haryana and Punjab, former Haryana CM and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda, after the all-party meeting on Saturday, said that Punjab has no right to stop Haryana's share of water.

"When the Bhakra Beas Management Board has taken a decision, then why should Punjab have any problem in releasing water? Punjab has no right to stop our share of water. The construction of SYL is the real solution to this problem. It is the Centre's responsibility to implement this," Hooda told reporters.

The Nayab Singh Saini-led BJP government called an all-party meeting in Haryana in Chandigarh over the water sharing dispute with Punjab.
