New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Jagdambika Pal on Tuesday defended the Election Commission and accused opposition parties of attempting to create confusion and "weaken" the constitutional institution without presenting evidence.

Pal criticised the opposition for campaigning in Bihar during the ongoing Parliament session, accusing them of having "no faith in democracy" and of stirring unrest on the streets.

"The Parliament session is ongoing, and they are roaming around in Bihar. They have no faith in democracy. They are trying to spread confusion among people on the streets of Bihar," Pal told ANI.
