New Delhi, Nov. 5 -- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Wednesday described the cow as the "foundation of the Indian economy," highlighting its traditional and economic significance while addressing the National Godhan Summit in the national capital.

Speaking at the event, CM Saini said, "Mother Cow is the foundation of our economy. Since ancient times, we all know that the more cows a person owned, the wealthier he was considered. The cow has also been given the status of mother. Cow's milk is like nectar. If the child does not get mother's milk, then we can give cow's milk to the child. Cow's milk is considered to be mother's milk."
