Raipur, Feb. 17 -- Former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Bhagel took charge as the Congress' general secretary of Punjab and stated that he will participate in the general secretary meeting called by the AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge. Bhagel added that he will meet all the party leaders and take up his new responsibility.

Speaking to the media, Bhupesh Bhagel said, "The President of Akhil Bharatiya Congress Committee, Mallikarjun Kharge has called for a meeting of General Secretary and Incharge of all states at Indira Bhawan... I will meet all the leaders and handle my new responsibility..."
