Mumbai, July 24 -- On the decision of the Supreme Court to stay Bombay High Court's judgement acquitting the 12 accused people in the 2006 Mumbai blasts, Maqsood Ahmed, brother of accused Tanveer Ansari on Thursday asserted his belief that the Supreme Court would provide relief, and further thanked the agencies who carefully investigated the matter.
"I believe that the way the High Court granted us relief, the Supreme Court will also provide a similar judgment... Tanveer met the family after 19 years... I thank the agencies who carefully investigated the matter..." Ahmed told ANI.
Meanwhile, Congress MP Praniti Shinde took a jibe at the Maharashtra government over the decision and claimed that they did not do "enough."
