Gaya Ji, July 19 -- Dr Tapeshwar Prasad, a retired Health Department official, who was shot at by unidentified assailants, is stable and being referred to Patna for further treatment, Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College Superintendent Dr Kishore Kumar Sinha said.
"A superannuated doctor had a firearm injury over the jaw. The wound showcasing exit (of the possible bullet injury) is not there, apparently. A CT Scan and X-ray were done. He is doing well and stable," Dr Sinha told ANI.
He added that Dr Prasad is being referred to in Patna upon the family's request.
He said, "He and his family insist on treatment in Patna and for the same reason, we are referring him to Patna."
