Vizag, July 7 -- The Vizag city police have introduced special drone policing to enhance crime prevention, detect bike racing, and improve overall safety in the city.

Visakhapatnam Commissioner of Police (CP) Shanka Brata Bagchi stated that the initiative marks a significant step toward leveraging technology to tackle antisocial activities and bolster law enforcement efforts. Currently, one Mars T6 Indian-made drone and 20 Matrix 4T drones are operating in the city, with one drone allocated to every police station within the city limits, he added.
