New Delhi, May 27 -- Former Culture Secretary Raghvendra Singh on Tuesday dismissed Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif's recent call for dialogue with India, questioning the sincerity of the offer amid Pakistan's continued backing of terrorism and the military's control over its civilian government.

Earlier in the day, Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that the country was ready to hold talks with India "to find solutions" to "longstanding problems," including Kashmir, water-sharing and trade.
