Mumbai, April 10 -- Retired Mumbai Police officer Hemant Bawdhankar on Thursday applauded the NIA for bringing back Tahawwur Rana, the 26/11 mastermind and said that it was a big achievement.

He also hoped for the accused to be punished further, stating that anyone casting an evil eye on India would not be spared.

Speaking to ANI, Bawdhankar said, "Bringing back 26/11 mastermind Tahawwur Rana is an achievement for NIA. We hope he is given capital punishment. We can send a strong message to the world that anyone who casts an evil eye on India will not be spared."

The retired police officer was a part of the team combating the Mumbai 26/11 terror attacks.
