New Delhi, Aug. 11 -- Congress MP Randeep Surjewala, along with other INDIA bloc MPs, including Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi, was on Monday detained by Delhi Police for protesting against the Election Commission.

Delhi Police rounded up MPs participating in a protest against the special intensive revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar and alleged electoral malpractices. The MPs began their march from the Makar Dwar of the Parliament under the leadership of Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi to the Election Commission headquarters. They were detained by Delhi Police who set up barricades.
