North 24 Parganas, April 10 -- Union Minister of State for Education and West Bengal BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar on Thursday blamed Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for the cancellation of over 25,000 school jobs, stating that the TMC government committed "theft," resulting in teachers losing their jobs.

Speaking to ANI, Majumdar said, "This is a black day in the history of West Bengal and Mamata Banerjee and her party are responsible for this. They have committed theft due to which these teachers lost their jobs. So many people have been affected. Police attitude is not right, every lathi is being accounted for, when BJP government is formed (in the state) action will be taken against them."
