Ambala, March 12 -- Haryana Minister Anil Vij on Wednesday said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has won 25 seats out of 32 in the municipal elections. The ruling party also managed to win the mayoral post from Ambala, along with eight other places in the state.
"In the municipal elections, BJP won 25 of the 32 seats and the Mayor seat with a thumping majority (in Ambala). People of Ambala Cantt have rewarded me for my efforts to develop the area," Vij told reporters.
Claiming "conspiracy" against him ahead of the 2024 assembly elections, Vij said that people in his constituency set an example by electing him for the seventh time.
