Hyderabad, Dec. 23 -- Telangana BJP President N Ramchander Rao on Tuesday slammed Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's comments in Germany, saying they belittle India and defame its political system.

Speaking to ANI, he criticised Gandhi's claim that China has surpassed India, saying it is another instance of the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha insulting India, both domestically and internationally.

Rao accused Gandhi of repeatedly disparaging India and suggested the Congress party's actions have weakened constitutional institutions.
