Chandigarh, July 9 -- Haryana Cabinet Minister Anil Vij on Tuesday launched a scathing attack on Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge over his recent remarks about President Droupadi Murmu, calling them disrespectful and offensive to India's tribal communities.

Vij said, "After this statement, I believe all political parties in the country should boycott Mr. Kharge. The President is the country's first citizen and holds the highest honour. Congress has sunk so low--their thinking has collapsed--when they make such remarks about the President."

He further alleged that Kharge's remarks revealed the Congress party's disregard for tribal communities.
