Lucknow, April 16 -- As Supreme Court begins hearing multiple petitions challenging the Waqf (Amendment) Act 2025, Shia cleric Syed Kalbe Jawad, who is one of the petitioners said that he has "put all hopes" in the top court, calling the recently passed Act as a "black law" meant to destroy Waqf properties.
"All our hopes are from the Supreme Court. The Govt is compelled to impose the Waqt Amendment Act in all the states. This is a black law which will destroy all Waqf properties," Jawad told ANI.
