Bhubaneswar, Feb. 24 -- The Indian government is set to release the 19th installment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme, which will benefit 34,95,147 farmers across the country.

This development was announced by Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Odisha's Agriculture Department Principal Secretary, who mentioned that Prime Minister Narendra Modi will grace the occasion in Bihar

In addition to the PM-KISAN scheme, the Odisha state government has also launched its own initiative, the CM-KISAN scheme, which provides financial assistance to farmers. Under this scheme, eligible farmers receive Rs 4,000 annually, paid in two installments of Rs 2,000 each.
