Jakarta, Dec. 2 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) informed that the latest death toll from the floods and landslides in Sumatra had reached 604, with 468 people still missing, based on data on Monday (December 1).
BNPB Head of Disaster Data, Information, and Communication Center, Abdul Muhari, on Tuesday, outlined the breakdown as follows: in North Sumatra, 283 people died, with 173 people missing; in Aceh, 156 people died, with 181 people missing; and in West Sumatra, 165 people died, with 114 people still missing.
In North Sumatra, evacuees are spread across several locations, including 15,765 in North Tapanuli, 2,111 in Central Tapanuli, 1,505 in South Tapanuli, 4,456 in Sibolga City, 2,200 in Humbang Hasundutan, and ...
