Jakarta, Jan. 13 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has announced the government's target of establishing 500 topquality schools nationwide within four years as part of efforts to nurture a generation of competitive talents.

He explained that the schools will be branded either as Taruna Nusantara High School or Garuda High School.

"Our target is for each province to host at least one Taruna Nusantara High School or Garuda High School. All provinces must have a flagship school," Prabowo remarked during the inauguration of a new Taruna Nusantara campus in Malang, East Java, on Tuesday.
