Garut, West Java, July 17 -- The Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education has sent a team to further investigate the suicide of a high school student in Garut district, West Java.

"We have also brought in a team to thoroughly investigate this case," Deputy Minister of Primary and Secondary Education, Fajar Riza Ul Haq, said here on Wednesday.

He confirmed that the ministry has received information about the student who died by suicide at his home in Garut.

On behalf of the ministry, Haq paid a condolence visit to the student's family.

"We have offered our moral support, encouraging the family to stay strong through this tragedy. We also deeply appreciate how the family has responded to this issue with composure," he said.
