Jakarta, July 17 -- The Jakarta government and the city of Heidelberg, Germany, have established formal urban development cooperation through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung Wibowo and Heidelberg Mayor Eckart Wurzner.

The agreement is focused on fostering innovation in urban governance, sustainable technology, and digital transformation to improve public welfare.

In an official statement released in Jakarta on Thursday, Governor Pramono lauded the initiative led by the city of Heidelberg. He also formally invited Mayor Wurzner to visit Jakarta to explore potential areas of collaboration.
