Jakarta, July 17 -- An Indonesian lawmaker has voiced strong support for Gerbangtara, a consortium and grassroots movement focused on empowering local communities and advancing development in the country's new capital, Nusantara.
Hetifah Sjaifudian, Chair of Commission X of the House of Representatives (DPR), said the initiative has great potential to foster community spirit and strengthen civil society organizations in East Kalimantan, encouraging more inclusive and participatory development in the new capital.
