Jakarta, June 2 -- The Indonesian government plans to regulate advertisements for electronic cigarettes-commonly known as vapes-on online media, according to a senior health official.
Siti Nadia Tarmizi, Director of Prevention and Control of Non-Communicable Diseases, said on Monday that the Ministry of Health is preparing technical guidelines in coordination with the Ministry of Communication and Digital Affairs.
These guidelines will serve as a derivative regulation of Government Regulation (PP) No. 28 of 2024, which implements Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health.
