Jakarta, July 14 -- Indonesia's Ministry for Migrant Workers Protection (P2MI) met with senior diplomats in Jakarta on Monday to discuss ways to enhance protections and expand job opportunities for Indonesian migrant workers abroad.
The meeting was led by P2MI Deputy Minister Christina Aryani and attended by three deputy ambassadors and seven consul generals preparing for overseas postings, according to a statement from the ministry.
Discussions centered on improving coordination in migrant worker placement, data integration, and protection measures, as well as identifying promising sectors and countries for job expansion.
