Jakarta, June 26 -- The Indonesian Trade Ministry reported that exports of halal products to Australia reached US$156.81 million during the January-March 2025 period.

"This represents an increase of 13.5 percent compared to the same period in 2024," said the ministry's Director General of National Export Development, Fajarini Puntodewi, at the signing of a cooperation agreement between the Indonesian government and Global Australian Halal Certification (GAHC) in Jakarta on Thursday.

According to the ministry's data, the total export value of Indonesian halal products to Australia in 2024 reached US$634.5 million.

"The trend is quite positive, with an average annual increase of 8.06 percent over the past five years," Puntodewi noted.
