Rio de Janeiro, July 8 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto invited BRICS nations to intensify collaboration in addressing the climate crisis, especially by accelerating the transition to clean energy to mitigate its effects.

The president made this statement during the BRICS Summit Session on Environment, COP 30, and Global Health, which was attended by leaders and delegates of countries in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, on Monday.

"The president stated that Indonesia is profoundly affected by the impacts of climate change," Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Arrmanatha Nasir stated after accompanying President Prabowo at the meeting.
