Jakarta, May 28 -- Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto and French President Emmanuel Macron have agreed to draw up a joint vision for 100 years of diplomatic relations in 2050.

This was conveyed by Prabowo here Wednesday while issuing a joint press statement with Macron during the French President's state visit to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Indonesia-France ties.

"We agree to go further by adopting a joint vision declaration toward 100 years of Indonesia-France relations by 2050," he said.

According to Prabowo, the 75 years of diplomatic relations between the two countries hold a special meaning.

Indonesia and France have also shared a strategic partnership since 2011, he noted.
