Gov't specifically striving to enhance competencies of women: Minister
Jepara, Central java, Nov. 25 -- The government is striving incessantly to boost the competencies of people, especially women, given that most of them are educated to middle school or lower level, Manpower Minister Ida Fauziyah noted.
"In this era, graduate certificate is not a problem as long as they have certified competency," Fauziyah stated at the Indonesian Women Ulema Congress (KUPI) here, Thursday.
"We prepare them to become competent workers, who shift from being informal workers to being formal workers," she remarked.
According to data from Statistics Indonesia (BPS), women, with middle school or lower level of education, constitute most of Indonesia's workforce, she remarked.
