Sukabumi, West Java, Dec. 6 -- The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) is building an emergency bridge in response to the damage caused by a flash flood in Sukabumi, West Java, to facilitate aid distribution and evacuation of victims.
In a statement from his office on Friday, the deputy for emergency management of BNPB, Lukmansyah, stated that the emergency bridge is a bailey or portable bridge constructed from a series of steel.
The BNPB recorded that 10 bridges were damaged and will be replaced with bridges, including one in Simpenan Sub-district, due to a flash flood on Wednesday (December 4).
