India, April 16 -- Jeera futures traded lower on NCDEX as market participants reduced exposure on the back of heavy supplies in the physical market. Though, improving demand from the bulk buyers for new season crop, trimmed some losses.
The contract for April delivery was trading at Rs 16240.00, down by 0.95% or Rs 155.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16395.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 162 lots.
The contract for May delivery was trading at Rs 16430.00, down 0.6% or Rs 100.00 from its previous closing of Rs 16530.00. The open interest of the contract stood at 7116 lots on NCDEX.
