India, Feb. 22 -- Asian markets ended mixed on Monday as investors were awaiting progress on corona virus stimulus after new Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen urged lawmakers to approve President Joe Biden's $1.9 trillion relief package, saying the proposal could help the US get back to full employment within a year. Japanese shares ended higher with optimism over economic recovery from the corona virus pandemic. Meanwhile, Chinese shares ended sharply lower on concerns over high valuations and possible policy tightening. Chinese central bank leaving its benchmark lending rate for corporate and household loans flat for the 10th straight month, matching market expectations.
