Vientiane, May 7 -- A grand meeting was held in Vientiane, Laos on May 7 to mark the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory in Vietnam (May 7, 1954).

This was one of the activities of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party, State and Army to celebrate the historic victory that forced France to sign the Geneva agreements ending the war in the whole Indochina and recognising the independence, unity and territorial integrity of Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia.
