Pune, March 21 -- In order to encourage citizens to vote in the Lok Sabha elections, students of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru school on Thursday reached out to senior citizens of a village in Shirur Lok Sabha constituency to the sound of drums, shouting slogans like 'vote is power', 'voter king wake up, be the thread of democracy', urging them to vote as conscious citizens.
Teachers were seen to be fine-tuning talent and voting awareness of the students by implementing innovative concepts.
College students also participated in the awareness campaign at B D Kale College, Ghodegaon.
