Hyderabad, Feb. 14 -- G Niranjan, Senior Vice President of the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC), has dismissed the statement made by YSRCP leader Y V Subba Reddy proposing a further extension of Hyderabad as the Joint Capital of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana for two more years, terming it as foolish and ridiculous.

Addressing reporters at Gandhi Bhavan on Wednesday, Niranjan stated that such an announcement is an attempt to mislead voters in both regions ahead of the elections.

He emphasized that the people of Telangana, the Telangana Congress, and the Congress government in Telangana would never agree to such a proposal.
