Aizawl, March 28 -- The nomination papers of all six candidates to contest the upcoming election to the lone Mizoram Lok Sabha seat were found valid after scrutiny on Thursday.
The six candidates included four candidates belonging to recognized national and regional parties - Lalbiakzama of Indian National Congress (INC), Richard Vanlalhmangaiha of ruling Zoram People's Movement (ZPM), Vanlalhmuaka of BJP and K. Vanlalvena of Mizo National Front (MNF), the lone woman candidate fielded by Mizoram People's Conference (MPC) Rita Malsawmi, and an independent Lalhriatrenga Chhangte .
The last date for withdrawal of candidatures is on Saturday (March 30).
