Pune, May 4 -- Maharashtra Education Minister Chandrakant Patil on Saturday urged election authorities to take all necessary measures at the polling stations, keeping in mind the intensity of summer.

Patil met Pune Collector and Election Officer Suhas Diwase during the day.

Polling for Baramati Lok Sabha constituency in Pune district will be held on January 7, and for Pune, Shirur, and Maval Lok Sabha constituencies on May 13. In all these four Lok Sabha constituencies, the intensity of summer is high, and the average temperature is more than 40 degrees Celsius, he said.

According to the statistics available from different Lok Sabha constituencies of the state, voters are reluctant to come out to vote due to the intensity of the summer....
