Ranchi, Aug. 6 -- A man drowned in a pond located inside Birsa Agriculture University under Kanke Police Station area of the state capital.
The deceased has been identified as Kamaluddin Khan (57), a resident of Haji Chowk. The man looked after the fisheries inside the university.
Family members of the deceased said that he suffered from epilepsy.
They said he had constructed a small hut near the pond located near Damodar International Hostel inside the university and his body was found near the hut floating in the water.
The family ruled out any foul play.
