Shillong, April 27 -- Meghalaya police on Saturday arrested another Khasi Students' Union (KSU) activist for allegedly being involved in the murder cases of two non-tribal youths in Ichamati and Dalda.
The accused identified as Ostarnic Marbaniang, a key member of KSU Central Executive Council, is the fourth of KSU activists to be arrested in connection with the twin murder cases.
Daily wagers Sujit Dutta and Insan Singh were stoned to death on March 27 in Ichamati and Dalda areas under East Khasi Hills district along the India-Bangladesh border.
After the arrest, several KSU members gathered outside Sadar police station here in the city and raised slogans.
