Belagavi (Karnataka), April 28 -- Karnataka's Congress in-charge Randeep Singh Surjewala has said that the state government will once again approach the Supreme Court regarding the central government's drought relief allocation of Rs 3,452 crore, which is drastically short of the total Rs 18,172 crore initially requested by the state.

Accusing Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah of neglecting the interests of Kannadigas and Karnataka farmers following the BJP's defeat in the 2023 Assembly polls, the AICC General Secretary asserted that the duo has deprived the state of Rs 14,718 crore, metaphorically leaving behind an empty pot (Chombu).
