New Delhi, May 8 -- Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson has been fined 30 percent of his match fee for breaching the code of conduct during yesterday's Indian Premier League (IPL) encounter against Delhi Capitals.

Samson's violation stemmed from a level one offense under Article 2.8 of the Code of Conduct, involving his expression of disagreement with an umpire's decision. He acknowledged his fault and accepted the punishment handed down by the match referee.

The incident occurred during the high-octane match at Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday, as Rajasthan Royals pursued a daunting target of 222 runs.
