Shimla, April 27 -- A Nambardar was booked for forging a matriculation certificate in Shimla district on Saturday.
Shimla District Superintendent of Police Sanjay Gandhi took action based on a complaint lodged by Rakesh Verma, of Deola Tehsil, Shimla on January 16, 2024.
Verma alleged that Sher Singh, the accused had utilized a fake certificate, purportedly issued by the National Institute of Open Schooling, to secure the post of Nambardar within the Nambardari Circle of Devla in 2019.
It was alleged that Sher Singh, using this forged document, successfully obtained the Nambardari post and held it for three years.
During this tenure, he purportedly availed himself of undue advantages associated with the said post.
