Kolhapur, Feb. 12 -- Reacting to former Maharashtra chief minister and senior Congress leader Ashok Chavan's resignation from the party, Congress group leader in state Legislative Council and former minister, Satej Patil, on Monday accused BJP of attempting to spoil political atmosphere in the country which is in favour of the Congress party as per pre-poll survey.

Talking to reporters here, he acknowledged that Chavan's resignation was a big setback for the party, however, young Congress leaders will take the party's flag forward.

He said that he will take the Congress party forward with new energy and strengthen the party again.
