The milestone moment arrived in the 14th over of the match when Chahal bowled a fuller delivery targeting the middle and leg stump.
Rishabh Pant, aiming for a cross-bat shot, mistimed his stroke, sending the ball towards deep backward square leg where Trent Boult executed a comfortable catch.
